Common Core Opinion Writing -Beginning to cite textual evidence
Opinion Writing unit: This common core opinion writing teaches kids to begin to cite an article when writing an opinion piece. There are 4 prompts and week long activities to go with each prompt. I use this with my second graders and advanced first graders, but it is probably best suited to second and third grade.
The unit includes:
Opinion text posters featuring parts of an opinion piece
Four opinion prompts:
Do you think that video games are good for kids?
Do you think kids should wear
