This visual teaches/shows the concept of main idea to students. The concept of main idea = the whole house. Students are told that the story is the whole house, so when you ask about main idea you are asking for the idea of the house, not the details (shown as different parts of the house). An easy editable Class Dojo Reward chart to print and use in the classroom! This chart pairs easily with the Class Dojo App. As an SLP, I find having a visual chart for students to help them stay motivated. My Class Dojo how to earn points is a great visual as well to point to when rewarding points to explain what positive action they did! I also utilize my editable "prize menu" to keep inventory! Use this door hanger to indicate your whereabouts and let staff and students know whether it is okay to enter the room. Print and laminate then hang on the door outside your room. Use a clothespin or mark directly on the sign with a dry erase marker. Colored squares allow even the youngest friends to learn when to enter (green or blue = come in, orange = wait, anything else = go back to class).
