This is a great introduction lesson for students before they read Homer's Odyssey. Building background knowledge is one of the keys to reading comprehension. When you have more knowledge to make connections to while you read, you are more likely to understand and remember that information you have read. This has been a truly helpful resource for my students. With relevant examples, this four-page resource walks students through each aspect of citing sources in-text. In doing so, it shows students how to create citations, where to put them, and how to edit quotations with brackets or emphasis.
