Geometry Tessellations Project for Transformations Unit

Letter Art Reflection Activity
The letter art reflection activity will allow students to explore reflections. Students are walked through the steps of reflecting their initials and then allowing them to create a colored design. This activity can be expanded to discuss lines of symmetry, reflections and rotations. This is also a great bulletin board activity for open house, parent nights, etc.

Tessellation Project
Tessellations are a great way to combine geometry with art. This lesson is to be used in the collaborative teaching classroom of Mathematics and Art. While the mathematics teacher will teach the students of rotation, translation, and reflection, the art instructor will teach of M.C.
