Simple and fun song bird drawing lesson. I model each step by drawing on a whiteboard while students follow. 1.Start by drawing the letter U. 2. Add a line at top to make a bowl. 3. Add a circle for the head, a sideways triangle for beak (with a line drawn through center of beak to make top and bottom). 4. Add a smaller "bowl" shape for one wing, add tail feathers, and two legs. This is an arts integrated lesson using Kandinsky's paintings to teach fact and opinion. It is designed to be projected on a screen for the class to see. The lesson begins with an explanation of fact and opinion with student practice identifying the two. Then the students learn some background about Kandinsky. The Little Orange House - Halloween Story Activity
This is a Halloween story activity for the SMART board. As you read through the story, fold and cut a piece of orange paper, just like the witch in the story does. At the end of the story, open up the paper to look inside the witch's house. The paper ends up being cut to look like a jack-o-lantern. Very cute!
