iPad Maps Scavenger Hunt II
This is a great activity for intermediate grade students to use various skills; students will use Google Earth or Maps app to locate various landmarks, states, countries, and continents. "The Mayflower" Webquest
This webquest aligns with the Scholastic "Mayflower" website; http://www.scholastic.com/scholastic_thanksgiving/voyage/journey.htm. This is a great activity to complete with students during the days before Thanksgiving, or during a unit on the Pilgrims. The students at our school absolutely loved this project!! This project makes students perform a webquest about one of the states. I had a lottery in my class: each student drew a different state that he had to research. Each student got a copy of this power point.

Plants: Lesson 1 Plant Importance, Anatomy & Function
In this introductory lesson, students acquaint themselves with plants by researching (in pairs) online, then checking their knowledge and note-taking by completing crossword puzzles and playing online games for repetition. Also included in the lesson are guided notes, foldables, and pictures to be used to create analogies.
