Career Exploration-Arts, AV Technology & Communications

Career Exploration is an important part of education. These are easy to use, self explanatory worksheets. They are meant to be a supplement to an already existing Careers unit, or great for using when you have a guest teacher, or even when you are trying to encourage students to look outside their own sphere. In this one, students use the Bureau of Labor Statistics website to explore different careers in Career Cluster: Arts, AV Technology & Communications. Download this file or buy the enti

Chiaroscuro Renaissance Art Activity and Web Quest

Created by
Deborah Fields
I crafted this lesson to make Renaissance art techniques accessible to a 2nd grade homeschool student. I now present it with full instructions and a web quest which should be valuable for all K-12 students of art or European history of the Middle Ages. Although I did not mention him, Leonardo da Vinci is credited with bringing this technique to the fore. I do not have an art background with the exception of one drawing class in college, so what I have learned about chiaroscuro and pencil work

Stop the Bullying!! (Social Skills WebQuest)

This WebQuest was developed to help bring students aware of the effects of bullying. It goes into details on what is concerned bullying and how students can help others who are being bullied. When you log in to the WebQuest, it does say for grades K-2 and lists NM State Standards for grade 2. However, I have found my WebQuest beneficial for grades K-5.

This activity was created to provide a structure for a report on a selected Olympic sport. Using a "How To" writing format, students are able to describe a selected sport that will be showcased in the Olympics. I also included a WebQuest asking students to search online to find answers to a few questions about the Olympics. This project based activity can be printed in a book format. An "All About the Author" page and a title page is provided. This is a great way to combine Social Studies, techn
