This is my favorite song! I have been doing it for 15 plus years and kids LOVE it! You can Use a shark puppet if you have one or print a friendly looking shark and put it on a stick! Can be used in summer program or if you're doing a until on the ocean or fish. You give the students each a fish to hold onto. Recite this poem and grab a fish from student. You can count how many students still have fishes to work on math. Have students recite poem to work on English language arts.

Here is a book for summer programs that are looking for something fun and creative! Have the students create a picture every week that corresponds to a page. Then send the book home at the end of the summer as a keep sake. Be creative with the pictures. think about different art forms, different tools. One day you can have kids paint and then after school trace the shape on the back. The next day have students cut it out (if they can). It looks best when all the pages are very unique!
