I have always struggled teaching this topic, and another teacher shared this song and it worked wonders on my students. I made this graphic organizer to tie everything together for them and it worked great.

Geography - Johnny Cash "I've Been Everywhere" map activity
Students will listen to the song I've Been Everywhere" by Johnny Cash while looking at a copy of the lyrics with locations. After listening to the song and looking at the lyrics, students will have to choose two of the four stanzas from the song to eventually label and plot on their map.
