Ages and Distances to Star Clusters Lab Astronomy
Students will use an online simulation to determine the distances to star clusters by fitting the H-R diagram of each cluster to a normal main-sequence line.
Students will then determine the age of each cluster by considering the oldest surviving star on the main sequence, and then determining it's age.
