FSA Simulation for 6th Grade Math: 64 qsts; NO PREP Distance Learning Packet
I created this FSA Simulation to simulate the varying levels of rigor on the actual 6th Grade Math FSA. The test includes Session 1 and Session 2, each with 32 questions. It also includes an answer sheet for the student, and an answer key for the teacher, parent, or for the student to self-correct. This test was designed to simulate the Florida FSA, but the standards are very similar to most other states. Therefore this also makes a great practice test for: Georgia Milestones Indiana

Interactive Online ELab Simulations Lab - Shopping Unit Rates Lab
In this FREE online interactive simulation provided by PhET, developed by the University of Colorado, students will explore unit rates through the process of buying goods. Students will explore how shopping uses unit rates to determine the price of various goods. Students will need a computer, tablet or IPad. These simulations were designed for IPad use. This handout goes directly with the Elab and contains directions on accessing the lab online as well as directions on how to complete the lab.

Social Issue Project: Dangerous Dolls?
During this project, students will measure themselves, measure action figures/dolls, and scale up the doll proportionally to life size, based on their height. Then, they will trace themselves on a large piece of butcher block paper. On that same paper, they will sketch out the life-sized doll proportions and create a body outline of what the doll would look like if it were their same height. They should finish with something that looks terribly disproportionate. From there, you can have a debate
