This reader's theater was written for a small group of 4 students. I had them doing a writing/research assignment about nursery rhymes and their historical ties and used this reader's theater to introduce the topic. In the script, Cindy is telling the boys about Tom the Piper’s son who stole a pig. It takes them a little while to realize she’s just telling them an old nursery rhyme.
