In my Literature to Film class, students read "Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been?" by Joyce Carol Oates and watch the film adaptation called Smooth Talk. Prior to reading and viewing, students research the Death and the maiden motif and put together a short slideshow of their research and findings. Students then present their examples to the class. Google Slideshow includes an instruction slide, and example slide, and two blank slides for students to work on.
