Refugee Research Mini Project

I created this assignment as a way to wrap up our A Long Walk to Water by Sue Park unit. Students choose a Refugee group from the UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) to research, write two paragraphs about, and create a visual one pager based on their learning. Students use a minimum of three sources (one being the UNHCR, the other two coming from the library databases). At the conclusion of the mini-project students printed and hung their one pagers around the classroom and completed a gallery walk.
