Grow a Bean in a Bag: Science & How-To Writing
Students will love growing lima beans in bags. Simply place a lima bean in a plastic bag with wet cotton balls, attach the cutouts from this product, tape in the window, and watch the bean plants grow! Have students record their daily observations and follow the steps of the scientific method to explore how their beans are growing-- best conditions, locations, etc. Then, have them write a how-to book on planting bean plants, and use the book to have them write a how-to essay on fun writing paper
