What educators are saying

We used this for Cub Scouts and it was an awesome activity. This kids got really into it and loved sharing their results
My kinders loved this resource to plant lima beans in our classroom! We used this in conjunction with our How To writing unit and the writing pages were perfect!

Description

Students will love growing lima beans in bags. Simply place a lima bean in a plastic bag with wet cotton balls, attach the cutouts from this product, tape in the window, and watch the bean plants grow! Have students record their daily observations and follow the steps of the scientific method to explore how their beans are growing-- best conditions, locations, etc. Then, have them write a how-to book on planting bean plants, and use the book to have them write a how-to essay on fun writing paper! Different sized line and illustration options included for differentiation.

Set includes:
Directions sheet
Daily Observations recording sheets (line or no line options)
Scientific Method poster
Scientific Method organizer with response lines
Tracers/cutouts to be colored: Flower pots, watering cans, water droplets (small or large options)
