This is a good project to bring in real life models to review geometry as well as measurement for perimeter and area. I use this closer to the end of the year and give students multiple weeks to finish assignment. You can also modify this by changing some of the requirements for special education students as well as add more challenging skills required for those higher students.

They looked through magazines to find the 3D shape as an object in the world. They then cut out the object and glued it in "Recently seen as". Kids LOVE this project. Enjoy!
