A visual and syllabic approach to teaching rhythmic Notation to young musicians.

This visual system will help young music makers learn the specific sounds of quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes and quarter note rests when played in a steady tempo. This system helps young musicians make sense and internalize the rhythms in an organic way and is a great scaffold to later on introduce traditional standard notation. By making connections with the number of syllables in each of the words, young music makers can read, perform and write their own rhythmic compositions.
