This is a classic game that I've put into a Promethean Board flipchart.
In our class we love to play hang man with our sight words. It's a fun way for students to become more familiar with their sight words. We keep track of points, every time they get the word right they get a point, if I stump them and they don't guess it before the man hangs, then I get a point. They almost always beat me!

Rotten Apples - A Sight Word game for your Promethean Board
This is a fun game that the students will practice reading sight words. The student will touch an apple and the sight word will appear. If they know the word, they get a point. If they don't know the word, they have to touch the apple again, which will make the word disappear. But, watch out! If you get a worm in your apple, you will lose your turn! The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Cherry Tree Sight Word Game
This is a fun sight word game that students can practice reading sight words, CVC words and words with blends/digraphs. The students will pick a cherry off the tree. BOGGLE GAME for Spelling and Language Development
Eight Slides of BOGGLE on a 3 by 3 grid. Students try to make as many words going vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. Words can be made by connecting letters left, right, up, or down. Words must be at least 3 letters long. Students make the words and receive points for each words. Longer words score more points. Game last for 1 minute. Great way to incorporate correct spelling and word building into the Word Study Block of the Literacy Plan.
