Forensic Entomology Lab
Have you ever seen a fly buzzing around a leftover sandwich? Believe it or not, tiny insects like flies and beetles can be helpful clues in crime scene investigations! Forensic entomologists study insects found at a crime scene to help determine the time of death, the environment the body was in, and even if the body was moved. In today's lab, we'll become mini forensic entomologists and explore how insects can help us solve a whodunit!

There are three artists/works of art showcased in this presentation: Botticelli's Birth of Venus, da Vinci's Last Supper, and Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise. This presentation gives "guessing" slides in between the clues and answers so students have time to rack their brains trying to remember who the artist is and/or what work of art they see. This presentation has been successfully used multiple times
