Parts of a Seed
Use this page to teach students the parts of a seed. Soak fresh seeds (We used lima beans) in water until they absorb water, the seed coat starts to come off, and they start to split open. Should take several hours. Students will each get their own seed and will be able to identify each part on their seed. They will tape each part of their seed to the bottom of their paper.

Guitar Cut-out (Interest Inventory)
Guitar Cut-out is sized to fit standard sized paper. It is formatted on Microsoft Excel (you need this program to open the file!). It is in 2 different slides/pages, so the top has to be pasted to the guitar body. December/Christmas/Winter Journal Writing Prompt Booklet
This is a 7 page booklet that features two journal entries on each page. The first is a title page, so there are 12 writing prompts. Each page has several lines for a student response, as well as a box to draw a picture of the journal entries.
These half sheets are to be cut out and given to students one at a time. At the end of the month, just before break, I like to punch holes and bind the journals for students to keep as a momento.
