I have always been a teacher at heart, but I began my career as an educator in Des Moines, Iowa in 2012. I taught ESL in grades Kindergarten through 3rd for 2 years before I returned back to my home state of Wisconsin. There I taught 4th and 5th grade for five years in the School District of Waukesha. I left the classroom in 2019 to become a full time mama to my daughter, Everly, and a yoga instructor to both children and adults.
I believe it is extremely important to build strong and meaningful relationships in the classroom. As a teacher, I would focus on mindfulness, character development and growth mindset daily in our community circles. I believe in teaching not only the content of reading and math, but skills and habits that the students can implement throughout their entire lives. I hope to continue to teach children of all ages the ability to find calm and educational experiences all around them.

I grew up in a small town outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin called Wauwatosa where I received my K-12 education. When I graduated from Wauwatosa West Highschool, I moved to Iowa to attend Drake University in Des Moines. I received my BA in Elementary Education after 4 years and stayed in the state to teach for the first two years of my career. Iowa will always have a special place in my heart!
I have always been an active individual. I grew up sailing in the summer, ski racing in the winter and playing tennis and soccer in between. As an adult I found my love for yoga, not only for the physical benefits, but for the mindful grounding it provided as well. As an educator, I found a huge need for mindfulness practices in the classroom. I started to incorporate breathing activities, yoga flows and mindfulness practice in my teaching and I saw a very positive outcome with my children. I hope to continue to share my love of yoga, breathwork and mindfulness to kids of all ages!
