I have taught PreK/K for 10 years and have made a major career change. I have completed my first year teaching middle school resource science and social studies. I will be moving to resource Math this year. I also co-teach within the general education setting.
With my early childhood background, I prefer a classroom that is in motion. Open communication is another aspect that you will see in my classroom. I try to support my students' curiosity whenever possible. I also try to provide a sensory sensitive environment.
Board member Oklahoma Early Childhood Teachers Association 2009-present.
I received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Northeastern State University in 2002. I am currently working on my Masters in Teaching with an emphasis in Science Ed.
I am happily married with one child. My son has been diagnosed with High functioning Autism, previously known as Asperger's Syndrome. This has changed my teaching to reflect everything I have learned through the experiences we have been through with his therapy.
