TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades, and have particularly enjoyed teaching upper grades math. I have been teaching for 3 years in Georgia.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to use stations as my students' primary practice for new skills and remediation. I particularly love BOOM Cards, which provide formative data for students' time on task, accuracy, and multiple attempts. I always include a technology station in math so that BOOM Cards can be utilized!

I attended the University of Georgia and graduated summa cum laude from the Mary Frances Early School of Education with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I student taught with 1st and 2nd grades, and have taught 5th grade for 3 years. In the fall (2021), I will embark on a new journey teaching 4th grade!
