I taught for 32 years in central California. I've been retired since 2009 and have spent the time volunteering in the classroom three days a week, 7 hours a day. I must say, volunteering is the way to go, you get all the fun and none of the responsibility!
I would probably be considered a traditional teacher.
For the school year 2017-2018 I was voted the State of Utah, PTA, "Outstanding Volunteer". When I taught I was a teacher of the year.
BA in English, Life-Time Elementary Teaching Credential grades K-8, CLAD Bilingual Certificate, and 48 units beyond the degree.
Love the classroom volunteer work teaching art and having small reading groups to monitor, and working one on one with 'special' students. Really enjoy the grandchildren and traveling the world with my wife.
