TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught high school ELA, middle school ELA, and K-12 ESL for eleven years. I love helping students fall in love with reading and learning in general. With a Masters in English and a Masters in Curriculum Administration, my strengths include curriculum development, developing analytical and close reading skills, writing instruction, vocabulary development, and versatile projects that both instruct and assess.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students need to be at the forefront of their learning, engaging with texts, tasks, and one another. Being organized and thoughtful at the start of a year or unit can help me front-load the teacher preparation, so I can step out of the way and let students take the lead!
