I graduated with a degree in Advertising and worked in the non-profit sector for 8 years. I enjoyed the creative aspect of designing but otherwise was as passionate about my job as most people are about the act of tooth-brushing. I volunteered at an elementary school across the way and never wanted to leave. I decided to pursue teaching certification through an alternative program while I continued to work full-time. Now, I've been in the classroom for 8 years and have true appreciation for feeling fulfilled "at the office!"
I love to fertilize creativity in my classroom! I encourage new ideas, almost to a fault. (My follow-through is not always 100%!) I'm currently enrolled in a graduate program at UT in Instructional Design and I have a true passion for technology as a learning tool. When used effectively, electronic learning can open up the world to students!
