Although I am a licensed attorney, I went back to school six years ago to get a Masters in Special Education after witnessing my then 6-year-old son's struggle to function and access curriculum in the NYC public school system. My son has autism and is now 12 years old and is doing well in a highly competitive Manhattan public elementary school. He and I have learned a lot from each other, and his struggles and his achievements continue to motivate me to be a better teacher. I have been teaching in NYC public elementary schools for nearly six years now, and have loved every minute of it. I hope that my materials are useful to you in your classroom. All proceeds will go to purchase resources for my own classroom in Central Harlem.
