TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a retired teacher. I taught for 35 years - grades 2-6. I worked for many years in a school with a high poverty rate and diverse group of children. I have been a guest lecturer at Hamline University classes on how to teach with technology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in learning by doing. I love incorporating the use of technology in what I teach and in what the students do. I love finding novel ways to introduce new material and I believe that students need to create things to truly learn things.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've written and received over 100,000 in grants over the past 35 years. Many grants were for the use of technology.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have a dog named Cinderella!
