My name is Kristin and I am a mental health professional at an elementary school in Michigan. I have struggled with anxiety and panic attacks since my own early college years. My personal journey with mental health inspired me to pursue a career that would allow me to create a safe space for others to share their own experiences.
I am constantly searching for innovative ways to enhance the learning experience for my students. My objective is to strike a balance between enjoyment and personal development. However, when I encountered challenges in finding suitable resources, I decided to create my own. Being creative is my passion, and it brings me immense joy to provide fun and colorful materials that can be utilized by others in their own classrooms or with their clients.
Hooray! Armed with my LLPC, I'm now officially on a mission to help the little stars at my elementary school! Their energy is pure magic, and I'm overjoyed to be a part of their story.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Psychology along with a Masters of Education degree in Counseling Education.
As a licensed therapist, I have a keen interest in working with young students in PreK-6. To that end, I offer classroom SEL lessons and individual/group therapy sessions. To keep students engaged and help them learn more about themselves, I am constantly searching for innovative activities that encourage participation and enable them to work through their challenges.
