TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a former High School English teacher with experience on multiple levels of secondary English and life skills content. I hope to share my resources with other educators.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that multimedia texts and writing are the keys to success in English courses. So many of our students sit, read, and reflect in the English class. All of these skills are necessary; however, I feel that it is imperative that a student takes action in the classroom through interactive activities, a variety of writing prompts, and literacy-based differentiated instruction.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Google Certified Educator, Clever Certified Educator, Microburst Certified Instructor, Donors Choose Advocate Teacher, TpT Teacher for Justice grant recipient (20-21), National Writing Project Teacher Consultant

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BA in English Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Student Services. I have a passion for instructional technology, which led me to pursue and receive my online teaching endorsement as well.
