- Taught students with multiple handicaps in a New York City self-contained high school. - Wrote grants and won approximately $20 million for New York City school districts. - Provide workshops for educators and nonprofit organizations to write more effective grants. - Worked as a consultant for Sylvan Learning Centers as a parent advisor - Taught special programs in a public alternative school with a focus on reading and critical thinking skills needed for post school success

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

- Recipient of 2021 United Arts Council Grant to write a wellness guide. - 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year at my alternative high school. - Honored at the White House in the late 1990s (along with NYS Chancellor, Lester W. Young, Jr.) for being among the first round of winners of the Federal Community Learning Centers Grant.
