Started my career working as a family and child therapist, helping families and clients struggling with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the challenges that tend to follow along. Changed my career to teaching over 10 years ago when the opportunity arises. I have worked with all ages, from 6-20 year olds on the spectrum. It has also been a privilege to work with students in a wide range of the spectrum. In addition to my professional experiences, I have a personal attachment to ASD as I have a 25 year old son on the spectrum.
I work with students who all have unique ways of learning so I approach my teaching style to help meet each of their needs. When I create a lesson plan I make sure to incorporate each students different learning styles, visuals, auditory, reading/ writing, and kinesthetic.

I have earned a BS of Psychology, MS of Family Counseling, EDS in Education
I am a military veteran, and spouse of a veteran as well as a mother of four very successful children. After my service in the military I wanted to work with schools and students that needed someone to help them find their special gift that was going to help them be successful in life. After working several years in the psychology field I found teaching students with ASD the most rewarding.
