TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 7 years of practical experience serving children and the families of children with disabilities. I am a certified special education teacher in the Metro Atlanta area, and I am extremely passionate about students with special needs. I believe that all students should be afforded a high quality education. As a certified K-12 special education teacher, I offer research-based academic and behavioral interventions to support students with disabilities at school and at home. I've created and used the resources proposed in my classroom/school as well. Many of my resources were used on a school-wide level to aid students in need of tier 2 and tier 3 supports. In the high school setting, it's extremely important to have strong organization and management skills because you must track a larger population of students. I've experienced great success with my systems and I am glad to share them with those seeking to support diverse learners.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am passionate about learning and helping students take their study habits to the next level. I intend to increase students' knowledge while providing them with life-long strategies. As special education teacher, I aim to find new and create ways to deliver content. My methods include many visual aids, instructional technology, and manipulatives to support the diverse learning needs of all students. It is my hope that all of my students feel either college or career ready at the end of our tutorial commitment.
