This is a quiz I designed for my 8th grade science students after an introduction to the periodic table. They will need to have access to a printed up copy of the periodic table so they can see the atomic numbers of certain elements on the test.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have spent 5 years teaching a wide variety of grades and subjects. I am currently a middle school teacher and I teach 6th,7th, and 8th grade sciences which follow the NGSS. I also taught as a homeroom teacher for 4 years starting in 4th grade for 1 year, and 6th grade for 4 years. As a homeroom teacher I taught Math, English, and Social Studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love project based learning and feel like more knowledge is gained through actually doing a project, rather than just reading out of a book. As I am a new science teacher, I am really trying to find ways to make science interactive, relevant, and fun.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was chosen to go to the Phil Mickelson Math and Science Academy in New Jersey after my first year as a teacher. It was an invaluable experience and my first time of getting to visit the East Coast.
