The Real Hippie Teacher

I have been teaching for over 15 years. I have my Elementary Certificate for teaching in KY and I received my MA in Teacher Leadership from Georgetown College with a focus on ESL (English as a Second Language) in December of 2019. I have a current and valid KY Teaching Certificate for general elementary p-5 and ESL for grades K-12.

I love to do hands on activities. I believe children learn through experiences. I think having meaningful experiences makes more connections in a child's brain and they retain the information and learn it a lot better.

I am a mother of two wonderful sons! One is 20 and in college! My baby is almost 4 and doing preschool work. They really help me understand how children think and learn. I have raised a very intelligent and successful young man, a smart little boy and I have taught a lot of students successfully over the years. My passion is to lead children in the right direction. A love for learning does that. We can succeed in fostering a love for learning in our students by showing we care, putting in effort and being engaged. I will put in the planning effort! You only have to be there and be engaged!
