TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught full time for a total of 8 years in fifth and sixth grades with experience as a parapro and substitute in all elementary and middle grades before that. I also taught in my church preschool class for almost ten years. My love of teaching started out when I was a little girl in a large family. I was always the teacher, teaching my younger siblings everything I had learned at school! I'm now homeschooling my 4th, 2nd, and kindergarten children and getting the experience of a lifetime.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to make everything relevant, student-centered, creative and fun!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

One of my shining teacher moments was when a parent told me her daughter did a complete 180 and from hating school, she ended up absolutely loving 5th grade!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Gifted Certified

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

After many years of teaching other children, I am grateful to be able to stay at home with my own children and encourage a love of learning in them. Homeschooling three different ages is definitely quite different than being in a classroom with children in the same grade.
