This categorizing activity is a great way to have your students use their higher order thinking abilities! It's also a wonderful activity for gifted students and even speech therapy!
Included in this categorizing activity are 6 sets of 15 photos for a total of 90! This is not a traditional sort and categorize activity in that students have to sort the photos into their own categories. They decide on 2, 3, or even 4 categories. You'll be amazed at how different each student/group's recording sheets vary because they all think so differently!
There are suggestions for each category but others will probably be used. If there are misfits, they can be added at the bottom of the recording sheet. There are 3 options for recording sheets.
Perfect for rotating stations since there are 6 sets, early finishers when they've completed their work, group discussions, and more!
