TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began teaching in 2016 and opened my TpT store in 2017. I have taught 9th grade English, 11th grade English, 12th grade English, Creative Writing and Newspaper. I also have experience in tutoring, newspaper editing and customer service.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have high expectations for my students and help them to be their best selves. I like to "guide by the side" and help students invest in their learning with my prompting, scaffolding and support. I enjoy helping high schoolers and teachers by making handouts and lessons clear, informative and interesting.

AVID monthly interactive notebook award, almost won "Nerdiest Teacher" for the school yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year, but alas, I lost by one vote to my wonderful colleague.
