TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my tenth year as an educator. Over my career I have instructed students at 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in Mathematics and Social Studies/History (both Ancient Civilizations, United States History and World Geography/Global Citizenship). I am truly passionate about both content areas and strive to make every lesson fun engaging for my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Always aim to deliver with content with a touch of humor and in an engaging manner. Students remember information when they can anchor it to a positive interaction or memory. In my classroom, students are constantly engaged in group work and project-based assessments.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When not teaching, I love spending quality time with friends and family, reading a great book (usually a YA at the recommendation of my students) and fun fitness competitions (I've completed a dozen or so 5Ks, three half-marathons, and two Tough Mudders).
