TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an experienced educator with a passion for helping others reach their highest potential. I have served in a variety of capacities over the span of my 20-year career. My roles include being a classroom teacher, instructional coach, instructional coordinator, assistant principal and principal.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am intentional with providing students with engaging, hands-on lessons, allowing them to take ownership of their learning. My instruction is student-centered and I strive to create an educational environment in which students can ask questions, think critically, and explore new ideas. I facilitate instruction, providing students with key resources to enhance their learning and help them reach their full potential.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I graduated with honors from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Shortly thereafter, I obtained a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, as well as Administration & Supervision. I have successfully written three award-winning grants; one for literacy, and two for English as a Second Language.
