I have had a long standing interest in differentiated curriculum in particular for the language classroom. I have conducted research on differentiated curriculum which included insights from a number of Japanese teachers, and I've lectured for many years at universities in Western Australia in language education. I also focus on teaching in the secondary field and spending time doing something I love, which is creating resources for the classroom. I am co-author of a range of titles among the KikouYo, Kikitori no Tomo and Takarabako series of Japanese language resources.
I believe in differentiated curriculum and enjoy designing tasks suited to students needs. Hence the interest in resource development of things like the Takarabako self access learning cards for students. These were designed with Jules Haggerty. I also believe you can never have enough listening materials which lead to the creation of creation of the KikouYo! and Kikitori no Tomo resources with my colleagues Scott Haddrell and Glen James.
I hold a PhD in Differentiated Curriculum.
