I've been teaching ELA and Library Skills for a combined total of 26 years in the NYC and Hudson Valley areas. I'm passionate about literacy and believe we should teach the way students learn. Sometimes skill practice IS that way! Phonics is a vital discipline to decoding and literacy, and grammar is necessary to construct a coherent sentence. I'm bringing it back to the old school to help our students acquire those skills.
I believe in providing multiple entry points to content and being flexible to the needs of my students.
