TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an instructional facilitator for the last 8 years at the elementary and middle school level. Before being an IF, I was a classroom teacher for 8 years. My focus for the last 3 years has been on developing curriculum for English Language Arts classes using the Common Core State Standards. Much of my work is focused around close reading, text-dependent questions, project- based learning, research simulations, content area literacy and text- dependent writing. I love working with teachers to create fun, engaging lessons where students are challenged to think critically.
