TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked as an elementary general education teacher, ELL middle school instructor and PE K-5 teacher for 13 years.I have taught in dual language Spanish/English programs and enjoy finding ways the my experience and expertise in language acquisition enrich my Physical Education classroom. I teach adaptive PE to special learners and am always looking for ways to make PE class more inclusive for all my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I bring energy and enthusiasm to my teaching whatever the subject. I assume competence and autonomy of my students and see myself as a guide and coach to their learning. I love dance, songs, being silly and encouraging growth in my students however incrimental that is. My students appreciate my organization and predictable structures. I love to travel and meet new people, explore new places and learn about all the different ways people live. I have visited 32 countries of the world so far and plan to keep seeing all this big, beuatiful world has to offer. I have always worked in title 1 schools and love the diversity of experiences and strengths my students bring to me.
