MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My education includes a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Regina, with a major in secondary instrumental music, a minor in visual arts and specializing in trumpet performance. I also hold a Grade 8 Piano certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music and have been playing piano since the age of 4. My childhood was full of music; piano lessons at home with my mom as my teacher; performing in local music festivals; singing in the children's choir, Prelude; a member of my junior high and senior high school concert and jazz bands.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I performed for 7 years with the Calgary Stampede Band of Outriders on trumpet, performed on trumpet with the Calgary Wind Symphony, sang in the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus, am regularly hired as a clinician for schools around the city, and often perform on piano or singing at churches and senior homes.
