5 years of high school education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A balanced blend of student-guided, student-centered learning and direct, explicit instruction and teacher-facilitated discussion. I believe in giving students voice and choice in their classrooms but also situating the teacher as the expert and go-to resource for students as they learn. Some classes, we discuss. Some classes, I give direct instruction. Some classes, the kids do all the talking. Some classes, we take a break and laugh together. There are many paths that lead to knowledge, and learning is what happens along the way!
