By The Geek Teacher I have taught all grade levels between first and fifth. Most of the resources here are for third and fourth grades, but there are a few from past grade level experiences!
I teach primarily in small groups, with whole group mini lessons and one-on-one conferencing. I love sci-fi and enjoy bringing ideas from various geekery into my lessons, including the use of a variety of books, graphic novels, comic books, and allusions from television shows and movies that my students are familiar with and relate to. I am an avid reader and encourage my students to find books they enjoy and read, read, read! I also encourage a variety of writing formats within my classroom.
