My career in education started in 2004 as an Exceptional Children's teacher. After working in the EC program for four years, I then moved into regular education. For four years I taught fifth grade math. Currently, I am a self-contained fifth grade teacher. I honestly dreaded teaching three tested subjects, but now I dread being moved from fifth! I work at an elementary school with over 75% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. I feel that I am exactly where God intends for me to be.
The classroom is my stage! I love being in front of students and I honestly love the art of teaching. It is a beautiful thing! In my classroom we incorporate as many hands-on activities as possible, we get out of our seats, we play games, we have fun, we work hard, we learn!
