TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching art for 15 years! I have taught in two different school districts and grades Kindergarten through 12th.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a contemporary art teacher. I believe in designing art curriculum that fosters an authentic art experience for all students. Everyone's art will look DIFFERENT and that is the perfect! I am a choice based teacher and offer lots of opportunities for students to make choices regarding the direction of their work and materials. Students build skills and habits in the art studio that bridge to other subjects and areas of their lives. I hope you are inspired by the work i have done with the carefully crafted units I am sharing. Let's change the way visual arts lesson plans are thought about and produced!
